Your privacy, in plain words
What Memorics does with your data, and why. This page keeps it simple: the privacy policy has the full details, and it's the one that counts.

Memorics keeps your account and what you study, so it can help you study. Nothing more.

Delete your account and everything in it whenever you want, or ask for a copy.
Questions and answers
What does Memorics know about me?
Your name and email address from the Google account you sign in with, the username you choose, and what you put into Memorics: your topics, cards, sources and exams, and how well you know each card. It also remembers which devices you're signed in on, so you can sign them out.
Who can see my stuff?
Only you, until you share a topic by link or publish it on Explore. Then others see its cards, but never its sources: your files, links and notes stay yours alone. Everyone signed in can see your profile: your username, your avatar, your published topics and your friends. Your name and email address are never shown to anyone else.
What happens when I use the assistant?
To answer you, Memorics sends your message and what the assistant needs for it, like your sources or cards, to an AI model. The companies running the model don't keep it and don't use it to train their AI. Your chats stay in your account until you delete them.
Is my material used to train AI?
No. Memorics only uses AI providers that don't keep what they're sent and don't train on it.
Where is my data stored?
In data centers in the European Union, run by Cloudflare, the company that hosts Memorics.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Because Memorics doesn't track you. It only keeps what it needs on your device to work: that you're signed in, your theme, and work you haven't saved yet. That needs no consent, so there's nothing to ask.
What about YouTube videos?
Memorics shows a video's title and picture without your browser contacting YouTube. Only when you press play does the video load from YouTube, which then sees your IP address, like on any site that shows a YouTube video.
How do I get a copy of my data, or delete it?
Delete your account at any time on the Account tab of Settings: everything in it is deleted. For a copy of your data, or to have something corrected, write to privacy@memorics.app.
Who is behind Memorics?
Memorics is built and run by one person, Johannes Schießl, not by a company (yet). The Impressum has the full contact details, and you can write about anything to hello@memorics.app.
